Brand challenge: Create a packaging system that represents the season, the brand, and consumers are proud to gift.
To Innovate Turtle’s Holiday Gift Package Prototype System, I worked within a team of 3 creatives towards
1. Sketching and setting the dimensions of the primary packaging
2. Reinventing the artwork and structural Dieline of the secondary packaging
3. Proposing the prototype solution, full life-cycle analysis, distribution considerations, and 3D renders of the final packaging system to representatives from Nestle.
Material Use: Aluminum Foil for Turtles: Turtles chocolate is made with pecans and a high viscosity liquid center (Caramel) coated with chocolate. Wrapping the chocolate with aluminum foil will not only preserve the turtle shape of the chocolate, but it will also provide protection from any heat sources during the packaging process, delivery, or storage.
Paper wrapping - Using paper as the primary packaging for turtles is by far the most fitting option considering the current budget, environmental impact, and quality needed.
1. Paper is safe, visually appealing, and environmentally friendly.
2. Psychographically, this packaging appeals to environmentally conscious consumers
3. Nestle wants their packaging to be 100% recyclable by 2025, this could be a good pitch for turtles’ chocolate primary packaging.
4. KitKat Japan implemented it.
